The team at Apex is eager to make your dream a reality. We know you need help along the way and that you'll want to check your progress as you order. See the steps below:
- Call us and get a quote. We will discuss paper, binding, and cover options, ask you about an estimate on page numbers and book size, and your desired quantity. We will spend time designing a custom quote to reflect your needs and call you with a detailed itemization of services. We will need to know if you plan to sell your book or if it is a reprint to provide greater options for you.
- Satisfied with your electronic file? You can upload using our FTP link. We will provide it to you during the ordering process. Remember that we use Adobe PDF.
- We will email or fax you the following three things which MUST be completed prior to our printing, editing or formatting a thing:
- order confirmation
- invoice
- terms and agreements
- Within two days most cases, our sales staff will confer with our prepress staff and produce a proof of your choice, electronic or hard copy. We ship hard proofs to you for easy viewing.
- Send us a signed proof approval (we will have emailed or faxed you the form) marked with one of the following:
- proof approved, no changes needed.
- proof approved, change these listed items (and then you will specify those changes).
- second hard proof desired.
- second hard proof not desired.
- Within five to seven days of the receipt of your proof approval, we will print your books and charge to you the balance of your invoice.
- We ship your books to you or to the locales you specify. We provide a blind shipping option for those customers who wish the return address to not read Apex. This comes in handy for those who ship to distribution sites.
