Registration Numbers
ISBNs- International Standard Book Number

Used to indentify books commercially, each number is unique to your edition of books. The ISBN is located on the copyright page and as part of the barcode on the rear cover of the book. You can ask us to help you register for this or you can acquire it on your own at www.isbn.org.

Barcode

Scanned for sale purposes in shops and for borrowing from libraries, the bar code, located on the rear cover, can be acquired on your own or with our help.

Library of Congress Number

Used to catalog books for library use, the application requires specific  biographical data to be used in the library system. Again, this is required if you aspire to catalog your book in that system. See www.loc.gov/copyright/forms.

Copyright

This protects your work from unauthorized use, sale or production by anyone else. It is again an optional part of the print process, but desired for resale. Visit www.copyright.gov to learn more.
Once you have your book designed and are ready to go, registration is the next step. You have the choice of completing this task on your own or using our time saving services. This step is not crucial for books that you plan for personal use, such as family photo books, calendars or cookbooks for gift distribution, or even a memoir for your children. We do require it however if you plan to sell your book in stores or to libraries.
Please note that Apex grants you full control of your work. We cannot copy or sell your idea without your permission, and neither can we claim any rights.
